About the Summit
The University of the Virgin Islands Research and Technology Park Corporation (RTPark) is proud to host our second Business Attraction Summit to be held virtually on May 19-20, 2022, live-streamed from the RTPark headquarters’ state-of-the-art conference center on the University of the Virgin Islands Albert A. Sheen Campus on the beautiful island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
This two-day virtual event will attract dozens of rapidly growing and established tech companies from around the world, emerging tech entrepreneurs, high net worth investors and key influencers in the tech and economic development industries to learn about the benefits of living and working in “America’s Paradise”.
This year’s theme is “The Next Tech Hub: Sustainability through Technology in the USVI”. Considering the current state of the Caribbean and the world, the myriad resources that the USVI can access today place the territory in an advantageous position to support next-generation innovation and research in technology and sustainability. Particularly when it comes to sustainability solutions, the RTPark understands that the Caribbean is in a powerful position to become leaders in this sector and we are positioning ourselves to be at the forefront of the innovation and research being produced in that space.
Featured Speaker
Tim Reid - Actor, Director, & Producer
“We're at a critical point in our history as we witness the dynamic merger of technology and humanity. Technologies will either assist our cultural diversity to flourish and enhance our future or through its formidable power, it will destroy any chance of us realizing in mutual destiny,” Reid said. “It’s solely up to those who control and program its power. Those of the African diaspora must become cultural programmers or continue to be programmed.”

Meet Our Panelists
The Next Tech Hub of the Caribbean
St. Croix
The largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands and the easternmost point of the United States, St. Croix boasts a wide range of views from its rolling hillsides to expansive plains, as well as a lush rainforest. Not only is the community proudly steeped in a unique history and rich traditions, but it is also known for its up-and-coming culinary scene and eco-centric vibe.
St. Thomas
Known for its breathtaking hillside views of the Caribbean Sea, neighboring islands, and the famous Charlotte Amalie harbor, St. Thomas is the capital of the USVI and one of the Caribbean's premier tourists destinations. Whether you're doing business downtown or enjoying the beaches, St. Thomas is a unique blend of the territory's past and present.
St. John
With 60% of its land dedicated as a natural park, the smallest of our "big three" is a paradise for those who want a quiet lifestyle surrounded by a pristine tropical oasis. However, with just a 20-minute ferry ride to downtown Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, you're never far from the action.
